maybe I am reading the intent of the post wrong.... but it is a valid point.
Correct in my OPPINION... The muzzle attachment is now part of the imported barrel...

As I said above, yes, this is my OPPINION!

If this was not the case and you use the AMD-65 as an example, the muzzle attachment that we silver solder, weld, or blind pin on the barrel has to be part of teh barrel or you would only have a 12.5-inch barrel and it would be a Short barreled Rifle. By using these methods the muzzle attachment is part of the barrel and you no longer have a SBR...

Yes, the barrel is still an imported part as otherwise I could just slap a spot of weld on any parts and declare it was made in the US. In this case you are simply making one part part of another...
