All the metal parts were cromed. The furniture is a semi gloss grey paint.
The receiver was cromed inside and out but they totally disassembled the weapon for the croming. Geuss they plugged the barrel.
Rumor was that they belonged to a ceremonial unit.
We did take it out and shoot it and it worked fine.

I don't mean glossy, but how smooth/rough does it feel?
I have a new M1911 Commander I just picked up that is heavily parkerised and it really drags when trying to draw from an inside the waiste band holster.
I have a stainless and a blued Gov model and they draw fine.
I am going to be installing an Ed Brown mainspring housing and was thinking about refinishing the entire weapon at that time.
