I purchased a SSK 10" barrel back in 2002. It shoots great. I was at SSK visiting and picked up the barrel while there. I asked JD if I need to break in the barrel any special way. He said "no". It shoots a lot better than I can. I haven't taking anything with it yet. I'm on my way back from the middle east so I think I'm going to use it on a hog in early September.

I owned a Virgin Valley 300/221 barrel years ago and it was just an expensive pipe. I sent it back at least 2 times and they never made it right. I ended up getting rid of it and bought the SSK barrel.
