You can always get a case that you know chambers and extracts correctly, cut 1 or 2 slits in the neck, clean up the burrs, and use that as a basic chamber measuring device.

Or you could have Hornady make you an OAL modified case to fit the Stoney Point COAL gauge...they will even do wildcats :-)

I assume the 338 Thumper will be subsonic?

Got any ballistic info?

Will the bullets expand on impact?

How's accuracy?

If I send you my upper can/will you do the necessary mods to make it a 338 Thumper? Cost?

Can you also build suppressors? I would like a partial integral suppressor so I only have to buy 1 stamp and keep the OAL as short as possible without a SBR stamp.

Just curious how that cartridge headspaces. On the mouth of the case like a 30 Carbine? What will you be selling? Complete rifles? Uppers? Barrels?

I'd be very interested in a finished 16" light barrel with headspaced extension and dies if it will handle 300 grain SMK/Lapua/Berger though a standard magazine. Could you tell us the case length and case capacity? What's required to prep 223 brass?

Prices? Delivery? I'd be happy to play guinea pig.

We at BWE Firearms have been in development on a line of sub-sonic rifles and ammunition based on the KISS principle. The high cost and minimal supplies of ammo and reloading components have prompted us to look toward simplicity. Our cases are based on readily available WSM and 223 brass which we cut and stuff a bullet into. Costs using new brass and bullets is running close to 1 dollar a round for both the 50 and 338 THUMPER™. Reloading dies and info is available from us. Our 50 caliber was officially unveiled at the SAR show just past. As for the 338 we are planning to do this in both a custom bolt rifle and uppers for ARs. We are using match grade fast twist barrels and using our propriety selective gas system we are looking to go both sub and super-sonic. We have fired the 338 and the accuracy is sub-MOA. 200 yards 1.5" group. At the private 500 yard range where we were testing the 50 and 338 a representative of SOCOM observed the testing and was very impressed, asked us when we would have the package complete, ready for a full demonstration. At this time we are only selling the 338 in the bolt gun, but in the near future we will have the details on sales of the 338 uppers. Keep an eye on our website for photos and videos of our full line of rifles.

The reason I was asking about the Model 1 upper is basically because they are only $365.

I have a Olympic Arms K-16. It shouldn't cost so much to swap barrels and gas systems..................should it? What should it cost?

How much for an integral suppressor?

I'm afraid the 338 THUMPER will be out of my range.
