the finish is for corrosion resistance not pretty, these are tools and I doubt they really worry that they mark up and prefer that they dont corrode or reflect light, no matt finish is going to stay mark free easily.

The M10 is not a military designation as the Military M10 is the plastic sheath for the M7 bayonet, its purely commercial
