whisper barrel length in AR platform

Hello all I just put my paperwork through for SBR and supressor for a 300 whisper on an ar platform. I want to make this as compact as possible. I would love to have everyones input on barrel length. How short can I go and still manage to stabalize the bullet. I have heard comments of barrel lengths as short as 8" but would like to get some input from someone with first hand experience. Thanks in advanced.

My perceptions of what tp555 told me that the shorter barrels are more accurate because you don't have to hold them still as long. The longer barrel requires you to follow through more than say an 8 incher.

I bagged one of the Noveske 10.5".

I was literally ready to toss a coin as to whether go with tp555 or the Noveske. The tp555 barrel would have saved me about $40 and would have come with a multi-position gas block.

I was going to go with a 9mm with a 5' barrel and really like the length of that set up then I found the 300 whisper. I can cut the can down about 3' but would still like to get the overall gun shorter. Really just wondering what the shortest barrel is that has been used succesfully.

So no one is using a barrel shorter than 10" or has information on bullet stability on barrels shorter than 10"

I have a Noveske 10.5" Barrel. My YHM 7.62 suppressor says it voids the warranty to use on a barrel less than 10" so I have no intention of trying anything shorter.

I have a Ron Williams 10 1/2" with a tp555 3-way gas block. tp555 barrels have a very good report here. These guys will talk to you and make a barrel to meet your needs or wants.

What twist rate are you using. I PMed tp555 and he has sold them as short as 8.5 but never received any feedback on their performance.
