Hi mGraham,
You sure about the "east coast" thing???
Maybe someone told you about
West Coast Bullets?...located ~40 miles from my home in Northern NV.
Anyway, if you did mean them...they don't have a website AND they mostly make handgun projectiles. They also have a shot tower, but not sure if it is in production.
The economy has been hit hard here in NV and A LOT of companies are downsizing and down-producing. Kinda sucks to have an economy that relies so heavily upon tourism, but whatcha-gonna-do?
So, if you are looking for bullets to feed your .300Wh., you might want to try:
MidSouth Shooters Supply -
http://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/
Nosler's Store...they sell Nosler "2nds" -
http://www.nosler.com/proshop/index.php
Beyond that, my only other recommendation is...have you considered casting your own? I do!
Lee does a GREAT 155gr Spire Point (made for the 7.62X39), I found that if I size it down to .309 it works great.
1" groups out of my 16" AR .300Wh. ALL DAY LONG.
Despite what you may have heard about cast bullets and the Stoner D.I. system I am here to tell you...b-a-l-o-n-e-y.
Cast your boolits hard (i.e. higher tin/antimony content), put a gas check on them and use a good lube. I have had my .300wh. for less than 6 months and in that time have put over 2,000 of my cast boolits through it.
I am pushing that 155gr. using Lil' Gun @ 1850fps...for Christmas my wife purchased a new mold for me, an RCBS 200gr. Silhouette.
Pretty stoked about this as I'd like something that hits like a freight train to whack coyotes with here.
Keep The High Ground,
G
