One note in Texas you do have to posses a hunting lic. All other methods are ok, for example we hunt them with gen 4 night vision goggles & scopes.

The last two years there was a stipulation in the Texas hunting regulations that you did not need a license if the Landowner had attested that pigs were predating his property and allowed you to hunt them.

If you didn't have that written statement, pigs are classified same as "exotics" and do not require a "big game" ticket.

Not there any more?

I will ask to be sure and I agree the past 2 years residents and non-residents have reported on AR15.com that they have hunted with no licence because hogs were deggregating the property.

No hunting license is required in texas to kill hogs causing damage to one's property

Straight from TPWD http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/publicat...hunt_licenses/

Exceptions: a hunting license is not required to hunt the following:

* Coyotes, if the coyotes are attacking, about to attack, or have recently attacked livestock, domestic animals, or fowl.
* Depredating feral hogs, if a landowner (resident or non-resident) or landowner's agent or lessee is taking feral hogs causing depredation on the landowner's land.
* Fur-bearing animals, if the hunter possesses a trapper's license or if the fur-bearing animals are causing depredation.
