I've used 700's in several calibers but never 300/221. I didn't think a bolt gun could have much in the way of issues cycling as I've never experienced a problem with the standard caliblers.

The HOWA uses an AR15/M-16 style extractor and is 100% reliable for feeding, extraction and ejection. The problem is the really short, stubby whisper cases. They have a tendancy to fall off the extractor before they hit the ejector on the Remingtons and some other actions. What you end up with is an empty case sitting on top of the top round in the magazine. Even my CZ527/Mauser action wasn't 100% for ejection. My HOWA has NEVER failed to feed/extract/eject. Spook told me about the HOWA action for the whisper and he was spot on. They just plain work.
