Supersonics with a pistol length gas port???

I have a 16in bbl by TP555 (I think, Paladin Mach. Kershaw SC). The gun was built for subs but will it hurt anything to shoot supersonics in an AR with a pistol gas port?

No. You can shoot super sonic loads and things will be OK. You just will not be able to push them as hard as you could if you had a barrel with a carbine length gas system. In my experience, a set up with a gas port in the pistol position gives up about 30 to 60fps in velocity to a barrel with a gas port in the carbine position

You also might need an adjustable gas block.

I have tried it, and it will cycle - but it's not good. I can tell it's cycling way to hard, need to put an adjustable block on there before I shoot supersonic again.
