Correct wrench to disassemble the M9 pommell screw

After many years, I finally realized the the european wrenches have not the same size as the US ones.
I have problems to find the "correct" wrench to remove the M9 pommell screw.
All the wrenches I have here, seems too small or too large...I can unscrew it, but it is not an easy task, plus it damages a little the screw itself.
So, could someone please tell me the exact US size (i.e. the "numbers" I should look for) of this wrench, as long as the best manufacturer of it?
I will then try to look on ebay.
Thanks!

Carlo,

You need a 3/16" Allen wrench. It is a very common tool. You should be able to purchase one locally at a hardware or tool store.

Thanks!
Yes, it is a common tool here as well, but I have yet to find one with a perfect fit for the pommell nut.

After some research I can confirm that there is a difference between the english/imperial and metric wrench size.
A 3/16 inches wrench is equal to 4,76 mm.
European wrenches available are (among others):
4, 4,5, 5
Here is the reason my wrench was damaging all the screw: the 4,50 mm wrench is not equal to 3/16 inches (=4,76mm), as it is a little bit smaller.

Oh man, I already bought my US 3/16 wrench on ebay and I completely forgot about the two other screws of the cutter plate and the ones of the scabbard back strap, which are smaller.
Bill, could you tell me, also, which is the correct wrench for them?
Thanks!

The cutter plate screws use a 1/8" allen wrench.

Thanks Bill!
Fabrizio, didn't you have the same problems with the screws, there in France?
