Question about the flat bending jig

QB,

I decided to try and build my own jig from the 555th jig print. I'm almost finished but I have one question:

What is the dimension of the opening that the block/flat is pushed down into. I measured the flat, it's about 0.040' (x 2) plus the 1.25 center = 1.330'. How much clearance total is needed to get a good bend?

Thanks!

J
