I fear you may be right. I enjoy shooting my .22LR quite a bit. It is especially fun when I move the can over to it and just get the sound of a pellet gun from the muzzle.
I should get a batch of 175 or 168 grain bullets for subsonic as well. As mentioned, the 240s are pricey. And of course there is the option of 125gr TNTs loaded for bear when total destruction of the target (like a milk jug filled with water. I don't hunt.) is called for.
