Can I get away with a carbine position port and cycle?

I have M1S in carbine position.
Runs great w/subs & supers but will not hold open on last sub round (will hold open w/supers).
Paul @ M1S sells a 300-221 spring & buffer kit that will let it stay open on last sub round but he told me to NOT shoot any supers thru it.
I occassionally shoot supers so I've opted to not worry about last round.
Otherwise runs great w/subs & can shoot 1/2" groups.

I spoke to Paul at M1S when I ordered mine and had it ported in the pistol position. I also had it threaded 5/8 24 to work with my other 30 cal goodies . If you call them, ask to speak to Paul. Great guy to talk to.

I've got an encore from virgin valley with an AAC quick mount on it for the 762SD. It's quiet, but I'm getting tired of my encore fettish (bought 4 last year) and think I want the whisper in an AR platform.

I'll give M1S a call Monday after I've finished my taxes.
