Looks nice. I have two comments, actually one comment and one suggestion. The shorter the scabbard the more difficult cutting wire becomes. It's a simple matter of physics. Have you tried cutting anything with the shortened scabbard? Second, the cutter plate is now fastened to the hollow section of the scabbard body. If the screws are tightened too much is will start to crush the scabbard. I'd also be concerned about ripping the cutter plate off the scabbard body. I suggest you machine a solid block to fit inside the bottom of the scabbard. You could solvent weld it in place and then drill through it for the cutter plate mounting screws and a drain hole.
