I hope someone will chime in soon with those answers.

What length are you looking for?
Twist?

I was thinking 20in for barrel length and and I'm not sure sure about twist, I was thinking of trying a 85gr to 100gr bullet some whatever would be the best for that.

I (and others) have only tried 1:10 twists and have been completely satisfied. From a 20 inch barrel 85 gn Nosler BT should be able to be pushed to 2850-2900.

Step up to a 24 inch barrel and you can get about 2900-3000 fps. This is really close to 250-3000 Savage. The Speer 87 gn HotCor has a little more optimum form factor.

I will look into the possibility of making barrels that will fit a Savage action.
