considering a 300 whisper

I am considiering a 300 whisper but would like to ask a few questions first. Is it difficult to find a subsonic load that is consistant and accurate?
Would you recommend a gun built on an AR or a bolt platform? why?

I was thinking of using 220 mk's, would I need an 8 twist or something different?

How accurate can these be, moa or 1/2 moa?

Thanks Shane

There is tons of data for the 300 Whisper.
Do you prefer an AR or bolt? Pick what you like best. A bolt gun will be easier to work with though.
My AR shoots consistently into 3/4 MOA. A friend's bolt gun shoots into 1/2 MOA.

sub moa is very easy and your choice of bolt or AR will be a personal preference. I shoot a bolt whisper and love it. As for your bullet choice- I shoot 220 SMK's exclusively and an 8 twist is perfect.

thanks for the replys. I prefer AR's but was concerned that reliability could be an issue with subsonic ammo. Perhaps I have misunderstood some of the gas related problems that I have read about here.
I still have to see if I can get a suppressor here before I commit to a rifle. I have heard that our LEO may not sign off on it, hopefully that's just a rumor though.

agree a trust is the only way to go---no LEO---no prints---no pictures---no questions when you die, because the trust lives on with it's successors/other trustees.
one trust, but many toys
