Sure, a 22, 6.5, or 7mm can be shot subsonic but what do they offer to make them worth the effort?
Why a 30 for that matter? That's simply because a 300 Whisper/BLK can fit in an AR-15 with just a barrel swap using relatively inexpensive low drag bullets like the 220 SMK.
In a bolt action 458 or 510 caliber subsonics may make sense. Terminal energy can be 2 to 3 times more than using the 300 whisper/BLK.

Because I can

I realy like the 6.5. Turing out to be very quiet with no recoil. Looking at doing a 22(80-90gVLDs) or a 6mm. Funny thing is it dosent take alot of Terminal energy when the bullet tumbles on impact
Why go to a bolt action for the bigbores? I run my 50AE out of magpull mags with the 500g XTP. Bolt mod was simple enough.
