I've run blue dot and #9 subsonic loads in a 7 inch with a gas port 1.5 inches back from pistol position and 10 inch upper with a pistol gas port position. My best plinking load for the 7 inch is 7.2 grn of blue dot under a 147 grn fmj. This load cycles fine in the 7 inch but not so well in the 10 inch upper. The 7 inch upper will cycle loads down to subsonic 110 grn without issues. 8.5 grn #9 under 240 grn smk runs well in both uppers. Both loads are pretty quite and pretty clean burning. After shooting the blue dot loads the gun looks almost like it hasn't been shot its so clean.
