The shoulder of the 300 blk is .004" wider than the 30/221. The original ptg 30/221 is .006" wider. I have all 3 reamers. Big deal is the throat of the 300 blk is deeper. Measured about .100 deeper...

Don't know.Most 18" bbls go with intermediate gas tubes.You can tune by opening up the gas port if it has problems but that needs equipment and skills.

The only issues are over pressure.The Subsonic loads won't have mega pressure.Even the high speed loads won't.So no problem.Consider the clogged barrels with 5 or 6 stuck bullets in them.

No. Reamer cuts the case wider by around .004" and the throat deeper.The shoulder flutes are dull and don't cut.Thats the part that is used for head space gauging.
