My bad...

My bad. I was thinking "Sierra", not "Speer".
The Sierra 125 g. 30-30 Pro Hunters are the ones that look like pistol bullets.

Sorry for the confusion.

Not really...

I think we're talking apples and oranges here. The Speer 125 hollow point looks like a hollow point pistol bullet. The TNT is a different animal altogether (made for different animals altogether!).

I got mine!

I just got my 199 pieces of ancient 5.56 military brass back from reworking with Hoser.

Great job, great price, and incredible turnaround (and they sure look purdy, too!).

I'd highly recommend...

Research and trying stuff is what it's all about! If somebody didn't screw around, we'd all still be shooting 45-70's !

Hornady FTX

There is probably info someplace here, but a search of "Hornady FTX" says the "FTX" is too short a word.

I got a box of the 160 grain FTX from Midway a while back. Apparently there are two -- one...

Howcome .25 left out? ( The 25/308 or 25 Souper )

I have a 25 WSSM Browning. Nice round, but kind of overkill in my NE hardwoods where ranges are short. Too much power (if there is such a thing!)

I'm a long-time .308 shooter (one of Uncle Sam's...

Thanks, but do you know if the "plain" and the "single shot pistol" have any differences between each other?

If not, why would Hornady market two of the same thing, with different part numbers?

Similar bullets

I've seen several members here use the Hornady 130 GR SP bullets.

I ended up with two boxes. One is labeled "130 GR SP" (#3020), and the other is "130 GR SP PISTOL INTERLOCK" (#3021).

I can't...

Hey, Gos;

Hope you pick this up, it's been a while since you posted about the 150 RNSP.

I've been considering using that round for whitetail. I'm in hardwoods New England where men are men and...

125 grain for deer

OK. We've seen the benefits/compromises with 220's and 125/130's.

How about the mid-weights? Where do the 150, 165, and 180 sizes fit into this Whisper-hunting mix?

CorBon

You're right. I was able to find it on their website by doing a search on ".300 Whisper", and three loadings came up.

Strange that they don't list the subsonic in their printed literature,...

CorBon Subsonics?

It could be me...
I ordered what I thought was CorBon's subsonic ammo, then waited over a month for delivery. When it arrived, it was the 150-grain supersonic load.
Included with the boxes of...

Why supersonic?

Answer a question from one new to this realm....

If the .300 Whisper was developed primarily as a quiet subsonic round, then why has it been picked up by the supersonic crowd? What does it, or...

Hi;
First post. I'm intrigued by this round and it's family. I ordered a barrel from Fox Ridge (TC) for my Encore just today.
I'm looking for something quiet to hunt whitetail in my back fields. ...
