I made a left hand no-gas AR Upper for a friend and while it worked just fine it was very loud when you cycled the bolt.
I think the AL receivers make a lot of noise compared to a normal bolt gun....

I sorta figured I wasn't going to be able to load any less powder or have it be any quieter having an 18" vs 16" but I wasn't 100% sure.
