My first guess would be out of battery detonation, but you rule that out. My only other guess would be excessive...real excessive head spacing.

All of my problems came from useing berdan primed...

All of my problems came from useing berdan primed military brass to set up my trimmers. This brass was thicker and even though I was able to set up my machines, the formed brass had issues.
