7.62x39 is what the AK47, SKS, etc are chambered...

7.62x39 is what the AK47, SKS, etc are chambered for. Certainly, it has a role very much like the 300 Whisper when loaded subsonic, but is a considerably different cartridge.

I can see the advantage of the piston for cycling & cleanliness, but isn't it louder in theory than a direct impingement upper? I would think hotter (louder) gas would get vented at the piston gas...
