Bolt Action AR-15

I Rember Seeing An AR-15 Converted To Bolt Action.
Don't Rember Where. Has Any One Seen This Or Was
I Dreaming?

Thank You, Wild Bill

I have a bolt action AR-15 pistol... I built as a Bolt Action back before the crime bill died and while I also have a semi-auto pistol upper as well now I still have the bolt action upper as here in PA I can not hunt with a semi-auto.

The way I built this was to use a DPMS left side charging upper receiver. It works just like a FnFal charging handle (left side slot). It is a great way to build a bolt action AR-15 as this way you can leave your trigger hand on the grip and cycle the action with the off hand. Because the bolt retracts into the stock, it is much better then a left hand bolt action rifle would typically would be....

I know this is a very old thread, but LAR, makers of the grizzly make a side charger upper that is left-right, or Ambidextrous, if you did not install a gas tube, or if you used a valve setup you would have a bolt action.

I am in CA so I understand why one would be interested in this.

In fact, I just ordered a 6.8 upper from Bison Armory, it's a side charger with no gas system (piece of drill bit broke off in the gas port).

I will post a pic when the upper arrives.
