airforce m9

need info on a bayonet marked buck 188\ tkere is no other markings on it,i do know it came from the airforce,and was made 1994,the blade is black and the sheath o d green with pouch and sharping stone, wire cuter and is marked buck. just wondering how many were sent to the usaf,and any other info

I'm not aware of any M9s that went to the Air Force. You bayonet sounds to me like a 1994 Buck commercial M9.

the bayonet [i have 2 of them] came directly to me from afriend who retired from the usaf after 20 years

Ill see if i can find one. From what i remember, it looked just like the one i got while with the SEABEES.

That doesn't mean the AF didn't buy any. AF units are free to procure with their credit cards as they see fit. I bought$ 2.1M of gear in 2001 without ever signing a contract.

Rumlover is correct. I worked USAF Security mobility and we purchased several Buck 188\bayonet in 1996. It was direct purchase by the unit I was in.
