Best riveting methods?? Your oppinions??

I ,through my search to learn, have found several methods . Are there more? Also what are the positives and negatives?
1) Air hammer riveting
2) Press riveting using 12 to 20 ton presses and jigs
3) Press riveting using a modified bolt cutter tool
4) Hammer and home made punches made from lawn mower shafts.
I am leaning to method #2 since a press for barrel removal and replacement is needed anyway. and method 3#.Wich seems quick, neat and cost effective.Looking for your feedback please
