GI Packaging ?

I picked up 2 M9s this week and they are both suppose to have the gray blade and fuller.
One is a LanCay for sure and the other is still sealed in the package below.
The seller wasn't sure which but said the bayo would be either a LanCay or Phrobis.

What can you all tell me about this packaging? Is there any way to tell whats inside without opening it?
I will post pics of what I receive when they get here.

Is there any date on the package? It seems that if it is dated 92 or later it is probably a Lancay. If the date is 1995 there is a possibility it may not have a gray blade..

There's no doubt that it's a LanCay or Lan-Cay. The Phrobis bayonets were shipping in cardboard boxes.

Don't have the package yet, but will look for a date when it arrives.

Glad to hear it's a LanCay (or Lan-Cay)! Not being familiar with the packaging I just wanted to be sure that it was a GI M9 and not a clone or something.

Appreciate the good info!

Thanks!

The bayonets finally arrived. Unfortunately they were not as advertised.. no fuller on either and the one was way off as it was an early to mid second contract LanCay with black oxide blade.

Although they are very nice bayonets for what they are, I am disappointed that they were not as advertised.

No reply from ebay seller as of yet.

BTW, a Late 1st Contract LanCay is what was in the bag and is a beauty even though there is no fuller. It came with a 23 pg booklet. Bag was dated Oct/92
