New guy here

Just like to say hello. I am new here and seeking info on rivet building my own ak47's and 74's. I am a C&R holder and a collector of russian and east block weapons.mainly the mosin nagant ,both russian and finnish with many many peices in the collection.Just realy got into Ak's .I have one AMD 65 built from a kit I bought completed from another collector.I have a STG58 FAL ,bulgarian ak74 and a bulgarian krinkov all being built for me by a competant builder as we speak. But this leaves me yearning to do this myself. And with rivets not screws for colectability purposes. Also just received a Yugo ak kit as well as 2 romanians ,so I have some future projects I would like to do.Also on two prebuys for polish tantal and yugo krinkovs. As you can tell I am eager to learn.

Welcome to our humble forums!

I just wish I had more time to bild the things I want to build myeself... Rivets have many more advantages over screws as I have done about four or five screw builds (well two of tose was just the drilling and tapping) and those little taps just don't like tapping hardened steel... You can see some of my thought on that here:

I hope you decide to take pics and share your progress... welcome again!

Hello and welcome. I wish I had more time, too. Have an AMD-65 kit and Global 1mm reciever for it but haven't had the time to start it.
