Barrel lenth question

I recently shot the Noveske 10.5" AR with some supersonic 130gr soft points, and also some 220 grain sierra MKs. (with a little milsurp 167 pulled) and noticed that the 220's only dropped an inch under the 130's at 100 yards. Both grouped an average of a half inch (167's opened up a little) but shot at the same target, they were exactly 1 inch difference. I thought that it was very interesting, and if I may say so, very good! I am thinking that the short barrel has just enough burn time to get the 130's supersonic, but barely enough at that. And its got plenty of burn time for the sub sonics to get them right at the edge of cracking.

What do you guys think? I am close to hitting the nail on the head or am I delusional?
