.243 WSSM or .25 WSSM
I am looking at picking up an upper in one of these two calibers. I am stuck on which one to get. I will be doing both deer and coyote, with varmints probably being my primary. What are the pros and cons of each? Most of my shooting will probably be under 300 yards. I would like to hunt with 75 to 85 grain bullets for varmints, and if I get the .25, then I will use 120's for deer.
I have read that the .25 actually has higher velocities with same weight bullets. But, those same weight bullets have lower bc's. Will these both shoot about the same, ballistically speaking?
I have also read that the .25 will feed better than the .243>
My battery already includes a Rem 700 .22-250 and Bushy Varminter for varmints, and then my Ruger Mark II .280 for deer. Just thought I would throw those in there as well.
