Lucite - Clear M9 Bayonet by LanCay

LanCay has made keeping track of all of there versions nearly impossible with new versions, markings, and colors but this is a very unique knife

Here is a link to the auction

Here is the description:

Quote:This is the Ultra Rare, impossible to find Clear -Lucite- M9 Bayonet manufactured in extremely limited quantities by Lancay.

Made as a 'display only' knife for the Army's armorers this knife is now super rare and in person a very unique and beautiful knife.

The knife was made of Lucite so that armorers who were new to the knife (during its introduction) could see the inner workings such as the retaining clip and tang and how the knife functioned.

This knife has never been out of the scabbard and I did not even take it out for the pictures, it will come to the lucky collector in MINT condition.

This bayonet is guaranteed in new, unissued, unused condition.

Bayonet Specs:

- 7 inch Blade (18 centimeters)
- 12 1/8 inches Overall (30 centimeters)
- Blade-.235 inches Thick
- 420 Modified Stainless steel blade, black oxide coated for low reflective signature
- Milled Sawteeth on Back of Blade
- Grenade patterned handle in Ultra Rare Clear Lucite
- Marked " M-9 Lan-Cay USA " on one side of the blade and " Lan-Cay " on the scabbard.

Scabbard Specs:

- Thermoplastic Nylon in Ultra Rare Clear Lucite
- Wire Cutter & Screwdriver
- Equipped with a quick release Military Holster
- Mint, unused sharpening stone.

CLEAR LanCay Lan-Cay version 1 version 2 version 3

It seem that your WEBBING on your scabbard was not the good.

All the M9 CLEAR SCABBARD WEBBING was GREEN and NOT BLACK.

It was certainly a reconstruction.
