Help with name of a lathe

Hi, i want to buy an used lathe, the guy who sells tell me is a Mentor brand lathe, he says is French, i`ve googled that "brand" name and dont find it, is it really a brand and is french? or is a chinese multibrand?, a lot of thanks.

It could be China made. http://www.lathes.co.uk/ is a good reference to find almost any lathe except the newer China lathes...Bob
