Question Need Advice

I'm tired of trying to use my drill press as a mill and have been holding off buying a real mill. I don't know that much about them to make a good choice. Where as funding isn't a hugh issue I'm a realist and know I don't need an expensive hat rack standing around in my shop. I make and assemble semi auto weapons as a hobby and at times use my "millpress" to clean-up welds, make small parts, or mill channels. Nothing really heavy but would like to someday mill complete receivers. I've set a budget of $2500 for the purchase, I have alot of end mills, collets and things so I want to put the cash into a mill that will carry me for along time. Any help with recomendations as to which mill and from where would be a hugh help.

A drill mill will do the job.Prices vary. Look for a deal.As far as purchasing where do you live? I buy from wt tool because there is a store 60 miles away.If you purchase where freight shipping is mentioned that means it comes on a palate
in the back of a truck and you need a forklift to offload it.Probably weighs around 600 lbs.regards.
