First Hundred?
Hi, I just posted my 184 on e-bay. Our shop received it directly from Buck as part of a preproduction order, and it is definitly from the original first production run. The back of the blade shows inconsistent striations, which are also evident in the saw teeth. My engineer buddy claims that these are indications of shearing force, and that it was stamped from a blank, rather than being ground. I'm trying to place when it was made in the first run. Would these striations be more uniform (seasoned dies) or more pronounced (fatigue) as the stamping equipment wore down?
