Lan-Cay Using New Scabbard?

Received new Lan-Cay M9-LW and it has a new style scabbard? Anyone have any info on this?

Sure was happy that it came with the old style handle.

That's not a new scabbard. It's Lan-Cay's MOLLE scabbard. If you're not happy with it you can try contacting Lan-Cay about getting standard webbing for it.

Another option is to order the other webbing from an outside source. Here's one on ebay:

I've dealt with this person many times, he's top rate.

..not happy with it ?? no prob, just something different for the collection.

yes, i've dealt with mark a couple of times, fair prices.. unfortunately he said he was not sure if he wanted to carry the M9-LW line, (although he has one for sale with a billet handle). I found a place with better pricing than eBay for the light weights at this time anyways.

and only prob with changing just the webbing is that you will be stuck with an unusable snap or a hole on the scabbard itself..

This is true. Since it was shipped direct from Lan-Cay, you could always call there and ask them if you could send it back for one with a standard scabbard. They are assembling the M9-LW bayonets in whatever configuration the buyer requests. I've seen examples with standard or MOLLE scabbards, Green or black, old grip or ergonomic grip. I've even seen examples on the website with the special unit stamping on the ricasso.
