All depends on your definition of phony. They are a well made, foreign copy of the US M9 bayonet. They are not US made nor are they US military issue.

my new rothco

I just bought one of them and it seems like a well built knife I would not feel bad about actually using. That was my hope when I purchased it. Maybe someone needs to post some photos of one of them.
