New item added to M9 Collection

I managed to find another M9 Lan-Cay Bayonet to add to my collection...Yep Carlo this is just to show you what still can be found, if not by sheer luck on my part..

They made these in tan and black. I purchased mine directly from Sabre several years ago. Maybe 6-8 months ago a collector friend picked up a black one and I told him to call Sabre directly to see if he could get a tan one. Turned out that they had one left in stock that he was able to purchase. Sabre is now out of business. http://mssparky.com/2011/02/sabre-de...icking-scheme/

Yes, I heard SABRE got nailed about a year back. Figured they were history shortly thereafter, but may still be cleaning house. My understanding was they had 200 of the PI M9s commissioned, with both the later tan & black fittings. I am not certain, but initially the bayonets may have been available only with the purchase of one of their AR-platform rifles. Eventually such items inevitably make their way to Ebay, but cannot recall ever having seen a SABER piece up for bid.

I don't remember ever seeing one of these at auction either. When I first found out about them I contacted Barry Brown at Lan-Cay and tried to get a pair. He said that there were only 100 of each color and they all went to Sabre. That's when I called Sabre and was able to get a pair; they were very decent people to deal with.

Congratulations for your new purchase Rex!
Unfortunately the M9 bayonet is not well known outside the USA.
So for people like me, the only place to look for is ebay.com (USA)
As of today, searching for "phrobis" (only in titles and not including the descriptions) gave me exactly 21 results

I'm sure that one year ago there were probably pages of ebay with 100+ results, with the same search criteria.

I've noticed the same thing. It seems that there are fewer and fewer M9 listings as time goes on. I don't know if it is because of less pieces being available for sale or if people are just tired of ebay and their ever increasing rules and fees.
