Well, seems a lesson was learned here. If one is going to post a collectible on a website like Quarterbore, they should be prepared to accept commentary, both positive or negative and possibly defend their viewpoint with the best evidence possible. I can understand M9A1 not wanting to reveal a certain feature on the bayonet in question. Anything posted on the internet enters the public domain, and perhaps he did not want to compromise his source. Had the obscured signature not been included in the original photograph to begin with, the resultant, heated discussions might not have taken place. Mr. Lu has acquired a fine (and somewhat unique) example, and I appreciate him sharing this with the collectors on this Forum.
