.300 Whisper, Alternative Powders...for me anyway

Howdy Gents,

With the madness of the "Great Panic" ensuing I have found myself at odds regarding powder availability in my area. I am sure that most of you have had this same situation.

Before the madness started I was running low on my preferred powders; Lil Gun, W296 and AA1680. By the time I got around to attempt re-supply, of course none were to be had in my immediate area of Northern Nevada.

Which brings me to this site and hopefully some assistance from my .300 Whisper (WTF) brethren. I did search the site and currently do not own QuickLoad software (this is now on the short list).

My question is, have any of you tried any of the following powders and what result have you had?

H4895
H4831
Reloder 17
IMR SR4759
Accurate Arms #7 (yes, I know JDJ does not recommend it or #5)

At this juncture, I am looking at loading my cast boolits as .30cal. jacketed projectiles have disappeared locally as well.

These will be:
155gr. C.E. Harris Spire Point
200gr. RCBS Silhouette
230gr. Lee TL-309

My rifle specs:
Armalite upper/lower
JT Dist. .300Whisper (actual) barrel (16"), carbine port position (@ .120), MGI adjustable gas tube,
Standard A-2 stock w/ A-2 buffer & rifle buffer spring.

I do use a YHM Phantom 7.62, but forego this for my lead shooting.
I realize it can be done...I have decided that since the YHM can is sealed and not user-maintainable, I will choose to shoot jacketed out of it.

I have been reloading for almost 15 years now and casting for almost 10, all standard disclaimers apply and I am very cautious as to how I approach new loads.

Just looking for some guidance.
The information is greatly appreciated.

Keep The High Ground,

G
