Question about expanding die

I just got to working with a new batch of brass I had made for my 300 whisper. These pieces are from once fired lc 5.56 brass that were cut down and formed but needed some final trimming.

I resized all the brass with the standard form die in my hornady 3 die set that I bought from jd jones. When I tried to trim in my forester trimmer the necks were too tight. The trimmer pilot would not go into the case mouth. I then ran all the pieces through the expander and then I had no problem trimming them to 1.350.

My question is do I need to run all the brass through the resizing die again before I load? The rounds will be 208 grain amaxs out of custom Remington 700.

Thanks. My die set is the 300 whisper custom set by hornady product # 041513c.

Measure the inside diameter of the necks. If it is .305 or less you are good to go. Any bigger than that and you might have issues in a semi auto.

The brass will only be used in a Remington 700. Do I still need to measure?

You want a little bit of neck tension for a bolt gun or a gas gun. I run more on my gas guns.
