Requesting help modifying my LanCay M9

Just a quick question;

I have a Lan-Cay M9, purchased shortly before they went belly up last year, and would like to know, what can I do to completely spruce it up?

1: Have already had it professionally sharpened by Knife Doctor (Although I've heard M9s don't hold an edge very well or sharpen well, this guy certainly did an impressive job, as this one is razor sharp)

2: Have secured a brand new Sharpening stone that fits the stone outline on the back of the scabbard, however being one of their final models, there's no actual slot or indent to set the stone into on the scabbard as seen on some other models. Can anyone suggest the best adhesive to use to attach this securely to the rear of the scabbard?

What I mean is, what kinds of accessories/scabbard accessories can be added to it? If they were still available, I'd grab an M11 EOD utility pouch, but I've stuck with one of the standard "M9 beretta magazine" sized pouches found on ebay and am tempted to get one so I can put a small Led Lenser in it or something and use the M9 as my outback/bushcraft/camping blade.

I was also toying with the idea of getting an M7 (Whilst I realize the M7 isn't discussed in this thread, is anyone able to tell me, is the coating on the new Ontario M7 bayonets poisonous?) I ask because I'd like to use my bushcraft knife like a true hobo, and use it for everything, including cutting my food (after being sanitized of course) but it has a Zinc phosphate finish and I don't want to get some kind of poisoning from it.

if it was poisinous they would not put it on the blade, can you imagine the press if our troops put poison on the knives they were going to poke someone with. Look it up on the web. If you want to tart the M9 up there are a lot of after market scabbard with multiple tie downs, pouches and every thing else but for me if you were going to spend that sort of money tarting up an M9 i woudl go and put ti towards a Strider ZT or a the Italian Xtrema Ratio blades, considerably better than the M9 - which was made down to price.

According me, one the best utility knife for the mount, fishing etc it's this :

Can anyone suggest the best adhesive to use to attach this securely to the rear of the scabbard?

Fair point, just wasn't sure since it has some kind of phosphate finish and I've heard of tiny amounts of phosphate (not sure what other element is required in combination) poisoning.

I have plenty of knives for actual use, but rather than buy more, I'd rather try and wear out the ones I currently have, so I'm investing time, effort and money into making them as useful as possible. Adding new custom items to scabbards, custom sheaths, etc, and having this boring M9 on its' own, I figured, why not turn it into the "best" M9 I can possibly make of it? I've attached the stone to the scabbard and sharpened the blade to the extent where it could perform surgery on a flea, next step is to pick which pouch to attach to the front; may build one myself out of nylon and cotton that can house a smaller Ontario Knife Co Camp knife for use with eating when out in the bush, as well as a side-slot that can hold onto a Maglite Mini or small flashlight. I was contemplating attaching a Fulton GI angle flashlight pouch to it but it would make it ridiculously heavy and bulky.
