Phrobis Gen 4 narrow font on Ebay

Found this beautifull knife today on Ebay

http://www.ebay.com/itm/M9-Phrobis-I...#ht_500wt_1413

It is mint in the original wrapper with manual. Narrow font Gen 4.

This seller also won't ship outside the U.S.

I WANT IT!

Good luck to anyone bidding!

Best regards,
Menno

Weirdly enough Ebay won't even let me contact the seller to ask for international shipping

Too bad, I guess I have to let this one go.....

Sorry for the confusion Mister Moon.
I meant that I can't seem to contact the seller of the Phrobis Gen 4 narrow font from my original post.

The US Utility looks nice, but I am not looking for Lan-Cay's right now. There are so many other M9's I want, that I am afraid to start collecting Lan-Cay's

Best regards,
Menno

Believe me when I say that it is only a matter of time, sooner or later you will start collecting Lan-Cay's, as we all did.
I would suggest you to try to decide well in advance what you want to collect, so you can pass variations you don't really like and save money for what you want more.
For example, you could choose to collect:
1. All the M9s variations;
2. All the M9s issued to the military;
3. All the M9s made for the commercial market.
Then you could try to narrow a bit your collection.
For example you could exclude from n. 3 all the commemorative M9s, or all the M9s that Lan-Cay made for the commercial market in many colors.
------
As for buying from ebay usa: welcome collecting M9s from Europe. I can't recall how many auctions I had to pass because the seller was not willing to ship abroad.
But, I think that the situation is better now.

Very true, luckily most auctions I see on Ebay ship worldwide, or are willing to ship to me when I ask.

As for setting goals. I originally started with the goal to collect all military issue Ontario M9's, but I am already nearly complete in that area. Missing only one!

Now my immediate goal is to complete my collection of military issue Phrobis M9's. I am going to pass the very rare and prototypes for now. I am still missing some, and also have to replace one or two that aren't completely in mint condition. I am receiving an absolutely perfect condition Gen 2 any day now.

My roommate is going to take some pictures tomorrow of my current collection. I will post these in the appropriate sub fora as soon as possible

Best regards,
Menno

Yeah, I got one!

Bought myself a Gen 4 narrow font I/A variant today. Sealed in original wrapper with the manual.
And if you are asking, how can you possibly now it is a Gen 4 I/A without opening it. I asked the same question. Howard got a look at the ricasso with using a tiny hole and a flashlight

So that's another one down on the list of Phrobis M9's to collect :)
Now hunting for a mint B/S... (wide font/narrow font?)

I still owe you some pictures of my other aquisitions over the last months. When I have some time the following weeks I will ask my roommate to take some photo's and I will post them here.

Best regards,
Menno
