I have been discussing with BigAl on ak-47.net about the possibility of buying a jig to do the receiver builds on and we came to the conclusion that if we split the cost 3 ways it would only run $85 a person. if we had 5 interested parties it would only be $50 a peice.
we can buy a jig then after we have done our welding we could turn around and sell the jig for $200.
we would only be out around $16 after the sale if we split the cost 3 ways, or $10 if split 5 ways.
let me know if you are interested as this would be the most cost effective way to get the jig and save up for the semi lower parts.

I actually have considered buying a jig myself and then I will rent it out to people who want to do the builds plus I have the tools to do most of the work except for the welder and welding expertice (IE I have a big Bridgeport Milling Machine!).

any idea as to when you may be offering the jig for rental?
I would love to get on the list early so I can get cracking on the machine work.
