My next 300 WTF will be....

So far I have two bolt action rifles in the 300 WTF catagory. One is a 300/221 with a 1:11 twist that I use for dear hunting and does very well. The other is an 300 Whisper with a 1:8 twist that have not shot yet AND has a can on it. I just have not had time to develop and test any sub sonic loads for it.

So it looks like I'm turning into a collector, so be it. I really like this cartridge. My next rifle is going to be on a AR type platform. I have been reading this site for a while. I am fairly excited about the S & W M&P AR, but am not sure that is exactly what I want.

I read that in this chamber, uppers that are side charging have an advantage over the standards. I am looking for a 16" barrel configuration, 1:8 twist and something that I can be really proud of. This will be used for hunting and target shooting. I know I will have to pay a little more for what I am looking for, but to put it in perspective, I was happy to pay JD Jones for my SSK build that he did for me last fall. I'm considering other builders for this one and with the AAC Blackout being a new option, I am not sure what to do.

So, to restate the question simply, what is a really good quality and complete AR platform rifle that I should be looking for? This will be my first AR type rifle.

If you want a custom upper, mega side charging upper, ar perfrormance carrier, and a adjustible block would be my choice since you could cut the gas off and be real quiet and it would also function as a bolt gun with it off. Dont forget to have it threaded for your can too ;)

The user "spook" on here, although it would be cheaper to let him build the upper and you supply your own lower ect..

You know, I like the idea of a left hand charge handle and a collapsable grip like my FN-FAL has..... This is giving me LOTS of ideas.
