250 grain lead cast

Hi Rockman,
I have built my whisper on a cz fox action.
It shoots quite well up to 200m.
I have actually done most of my "kills" near Timaru actually.
3 rabbits(arround 130m, a hare at 165m and a magpieat 100m).
That is with sub loads.
I shot a fallow and a red with 125gr bt supersonic.(North Island).

Can these bullets be used on an AR15 type/autoloading action?

The only downsides I've seen to using cast bullets in a .300 AR, are that they are a little smokey (even gas-checked), and there gets to be a little lead buildup on the boat tail-- no big deal to scrape it off.

On the other hand, this is only maybe 300 rounds' experience. I suppose firing 10X that might show some other concerns, but I'd be surprised if it was anything that could not be dealt with.
