Anyone tried Hornady MONOFLEX bullets?

Thinking of trying these for some supersonic hunting loads. I saw them in an article about .30-.30s(which is what these were designed for) used on bear. They're pricey, but they have a pretty short ogive. I wonder how the seating depth would work in an AR platform, and how much powder you could get in the case. I'm also curious about velocity out of a 16" barrel. If anyone has tried them or has an idea if they would work, I'd love to hear it. If not, I'll buy some and give them a try.

I dont know much, but the .300 WTF super sonic loads are close (fps) to the 30-30 loads so I dont see why not.

I tried loading up some of the Hornady FTX's in 160gn and they too load to a pretty short overall length. I haven't had a chance to put them over a chrono for groups yet but at least it'll give you a price comparison.
