Trailboss question. Input appreciated

What is the maximum charge of trailboss I can safely load in my .308. I am currently up to 14 grains using 220 grain hornady flat base jacketed bullets. Enlarged flash holes and magnum primers. I don't see any signs of primer set back and the primer pockets are tight for several loadings.

Thanks in advance

Just keep in mind that Trailboss is a pretty fast powder, and as such, the difference of a couple grains could be a safe load or could blow primers. Work up in small increments and watch for all the usual signs. With a lighter bullet, I'd say you could probably get close to 100% case fill, but that may not be the case with a 220. Make sure you aren't compressing it any.

I am getting close to capacity now. I am seating bullets for a col of 2.730 I may seat a little longer and go to maybe 14.5 or 15. I don't have a chrono, my rifle has a 22inch barrel. Any idea of the velocity I may be at?

I use it in my 308 and I've never needed to enlarged the flash hole. I have some paperwork somewhere that says to take the bullet your going to shoot and load it into an empty case at your OAL. Take a second bullet and set it next to the loaded round and mark the case where the base of the bullet sets. Pull the bullet and fill the case to the mark. Pour the powder into a scale. This is your max charge. It does not seem very scientific.

I shoot 11.6 gr of Trail Boss and a 225 Outlaw state bullet with an OAL of 2.740. The gun is a 20" Savage V=1055
