looking for build parts (extended floor plate & spring)

I purchased a Weatherby Vanguard SA, 1x8 .308 barrel from Schillen, Varmint stock from Boyds. My favorite gunsmith has them ready for finalfinish reamer...still wiating... I saw in the Brownells catalog a extended floor plate to up nthe magazine capacity, however i saw no spring? have any of you built up a Whisper and used these? do you use the original spring? I have seen a replacement floor plate and mag assembly but its pretty pricey.......thanks for any info

I would assume that since they don't offer a longer spring then it isn't necessary. The extended floor plate sounds like a worthy upgrade.

Never used a floor plate extender, however I belive cdi or another mfg makes a detachable mag stsyem for the howa 1500 /weathrby vanguard thats uses aics mags. May be something to look into.

Whats the big wait for? Are you renting one or buying it? What are they renting for these days? My br gunsmith got squarmy about reamers, so I bought it and the go no go gauges. If interested drop me a note.
