Turning a Toroid

Hello,

Being new to these forums and the wood lathe, I was wondering if anyone had any tips on turning a torus.
I searched the internet for tutorials on turning a wooden torus but could only find metal spinning information.

Any info on how to spin a wooden torus or what type of wood to use would be greatly appreciated :)

I don't have a clue what you are trying to turn. Got a pic of it...Bob

Cool

So you just want to make a donut from steel or wood? How big? That would be pretty easy but you would have to turn it in steps. Like turn the ID first so you can chuck it up and finish the outside then turn it around and do the other side...Bob
